UCSF CCMBM | Imaging Core

Dr. Victor Cheuy is a biomedical engineer, with predoctoral and postdoctoral training in movement science and rehabilitation science. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science and the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at UCSF. His expertise combines quantitative clinical imaging, three-dimensional biomechanics, and physical function and activity techniques to investigate unrecognized and underappreciated lower extremity musculoskeletal complications due to diabetes and its sequelae. He has received numerous honors and awards for his work in type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, osteoarthritis, and joint arthroplasty. Dr. Cheuy teaches within the UCSF DPT program and is a member of the Executive Committee of the UCSF Rehabilitation Science PhD program. He is a highly engaged member of the UCSF P30 Core Center for Musculoskeletal Biology and Medicine (CCMBM), serving on the Seminar Series subcommittee, as co-chair of the Annual Retreat subcommittee, and Co-Director of the CCMBM Imaging Core.
